About Me
A transplant to New Orleans, I had to get used to the high humidity, heat and hurricanes after living in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost a decade. I'm back in the City that Care Forgot after taking a year long trip to the Bay Area.
I have written for pleasure for most of my life and have been concentrating recently on the final edits to a couple of novels. I want to thank the folks at National Novel Writing Month for helping me develop the discipline necessary to write every day.
In April 2009, I decided to take on the position of Managing Director at Forum For Equality. This is a civil rights organization that promotes good government and protects the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the state of Louisiana. I continue to work as a consultant with Pacific Training and Resources, a Administration, Financial and Human Resources consulting firm that specializes in non-profits. Based in Oakland, California, we also design and present workshops across the nation.
